To give a further professional feel to my final product I applied personalised templates to all of the videos created during the process of creating the music video and a thumbnail that not only gives the video a professional and realistic feel, but also draws in my target audience and the use of bright colours that are in the background image are in keeping with the psychedelic genre. Not only this but it allows my whole channel to appear largely integral and neat.
I chose A-Level Media as it is a truly contemporary subject which is relevant to my life. The media saturates everything we do in the developed world of the 21st Century. Taking this subject will hopefully give me the tools to analyse and critique the media and give me the chance to see the ways in which the media affects my life.

Application of final outcome (magazine advertisement)
After the completion of my magazine digipak advertisement, I set about applying the finished product to firstly a page in a magazine in that being the purpose of its creation. This allowed me to see how effective the ad would be when printed in a magazine. I also took the opportunity to apply the ad to other forms of display such as a poster shown advertising my digipak in places commonly used to advertise new upcoming albums and singles such as bus stops, tube stations and street walls. Something I felt branched out to my target audience in the most relatable and modern way was the application od the advertisement to the Snapchat magazine 'discover' page.

Planning my magazine advertisement
Using a magazine advertisement template of
my own construction I created two different digital layout plans to help
me decide on how I indented my magazine advertisement to appear. This also allowed me to brainstorm
everything that I aimed to include on the ad such as my record label, band name,
song title, the placing of any imagery and other key information.

Analysis of album advertisements in magazines
I chose to analyse these six album advertisements as they all stood out to me as a consumer for different reasons. They all also have certain details that I would consider looking further into and perhaps adapting to apply to my own digipak advertisement. The Arctic Monkey advertisement is simple yet effective, The white text against the black background means that the text is prominent and coherent. The Smiths advertisement features allot of information in a small text which may be relevant to the album's release, The information is also clear as the image of the band fades to black and the text is laid over the top of this. The band's name stands out from the image and prominently black and white colour scheme as the use of light blue highlights the important elements present in the advertisement. The Madonna advertisement features a blendable colour palate the colours of blue, purple and pink blend nicely together and works well with the black background. The text is also shown in rectangular boxes that allow the text to remain the same colour as the background. The Tame Impala album advertisement is simple but in keeping with the psychedelic genre, it features patterns and symbols. The Oasis single advertisement is similar to one that I have discussed in further detail in this blog. It appears neatly boxed up, with a striking green background. The Basement Jaxx advertisement is very abstract, something that is a convention often used in psychedelic album cover art, the colouring of the gorilla's coat allows it to appear in the foreground of the ad and against the star-filled the background. The text used works well with this abstract theme and the colouring going up the left-hand side of the ad appears as though the paint has been splattered across the page. An unique and striking use of graphics has been put in place in this advertisement.

Analysis of target audience interveiw feedback
What I have found most useful after looking
back over the interviewees responses to my carefully selected questions is that
to draw people’s attention, the focal point of my advertisement should be a
large image. A bold text will draw attention. The band name and all relevant information
should be positioned so that people can read it easily. Furthermore it is imperative
to keep whatever text I use in the advertisement limited to a simple,
attention-grabbing one, as well as this the addition of social media links and
the bands website as people within my target audience will use this information
to keep undated about their favourite bands. From the responses I can also see
that adding too much text will make my advertisement cluttered and difficult to
read and that the use of less information in a larger font will draw the eye
and be easier to remember. I will be sure to incorperate this informtion collated from the reponces of the interviewees when creating my advertisement.
